The Abington Historical Commission budget over the last 10 years has been
$800. The FY 2014 budget request from the AHC has reduced the amount to
$200. An unusual move but at this time the AHC does not have any big projects
to tackle in the next two years. If the AHC finds that there are extra funds
needed our request will be brought forward to the town.

Hello,

Am curious if any Historical Commissions on this list have budgets
appropriated by their towns. If so, may I inquire about the amounts?

If you do not have budgets, where do you obtain the money to attend
Historic Preservation Conferences, provide food and brochures for
historical walks, or pay for speakers to give historical preservation
talks?

Or do you pay out of your own pockets to promote preservation in your
towns.

Many thanks for any info or ideas you can provide,

Julie Nardone
Chair
Ashland Historical Commission
