Seems to me that Phillips Academy should be persuaded to take responsibility to save/recycle/reuse this buildiing if no takers from Mr. Greene's message. --

Historic Merrill House on Phillips Academy campus in Andover is under demolition delay and is scheduled to be demolished unless an experienced and qualified developer/individual who can navigate the permitting process expediently can have it relocated.

Built between 1850 and 1872, the house displays elements of both the Gothic Revival and Colonial Revival styles. Many historical features still intact including ornately turned newel post and curved baseboard up central staircase on the interior and the gable end tripartite Gothic Revival window and steeply pitched gable-roof dormers on exterior.

For more information or to inquire further, contact Leo Greene (lgreene868 at gmail.com). Time is of the essence to save this historic and elegant home.
