[MassHistPres] 1883 Cabot & Chandler house with stones in stucco pattern [Weston]

>> The owners of this Historic House in Weston are restoring it, and want to try to copy the gable detail from this early photo of the 1883 house. It appears to be stones set in stucco with a rondel &  cross pattern made in stucco(?), and a  fretwork pattern in shingles under the windows.  The house was designed by Francis Chandler {Cabot & Chandler}. This technique was used in Newport by McKim Mead & White, but does anyone know any other local [ Boston area] examples?   Does anyone know a craftsperson who is re-creating this technique, so we can recommend someone competent to do the work?
