[MassHistPres] Examples of Local Bank forgiving a Mortgage Held by Local Non Profit???

I am working with a small group who has a mortgage, held by a local bank,
on a property that includes a historic house. They asked if I had ever heard
of a local bank forgiving a mortgage that was owed by a nonprofit
organization? Any examples they could reference? Thanks in advance for your
