Hello,

Greenfield ‘s Chapter 58 Demolition Delay Ordinance defines Demolition as “any act of pulling down, destroying, removing or razing a structure or portion thereof, or commencing the work of total or substantial destruction with the intent of completing the same. “

I’m not aware of any case where this was used. It is not an age-based law. It applies to National Register listed buildings, any building with an MHC NR eligibility opinion or a building submitted to and approved by the Town Council by the Commission. The definition of Building includes structures as well.

Does anyone know of an instance where the words Building and Structure, if used interchangeably, caused a problem?
