[MassHistPres] article from Boston Globe on the Joseph Draper House, Dover

Rosemary has posed a great question. I've restored many antique timber frame structures. It would be a shame to see this part of history disappear. Having said that, I think boycotting business owners or attacking homeowners won't yield the results everyone is looking for. Owners are entitled to manage their properties even when it's not what we may value. I don't know the history on any dialogue, if at all, that has occurred with the owner. But it's worth a shot.
Providing him with individuals or organizations that may be interested in the dismantle/reassemble option , such as the Timberframers Guild, or architects who may have customers interested in this type of re-use, may align efforts to at least preserve the structure if leaving it in its original place is not an option.

He'd sell the house and a small parcel for it, and he'd still be able to develop the other acreage. This depends on zoning, of course, and his willingness to forgo a percentage of the millions he'll make in the redevelopment.
