Hello all,

I hear the frustrations of recent posters regarding the anticipated loss of a historic property in Dover.

I would like to point out that the guidelines for posting on masshistpres state that all postings must "maintain professionalism and respect to everyone whether they are a member of this list or not."  This could be expanded to state that we must maintain professionalism and respect to everyone, whether or not they agree with our preservation perspective.

Historic preservation ONLY works when we remember it is all about people, planning, partnerships, and politics.  All four are essential. There are no shortcuts.
