You are invited to a talk on Using Laser Technology as a Preservation Tool

Michael Feldman will explain the uses laser scanning technology to graphically analyze historic buildings and sites. 

Three-dimensional laser scans can remotely measure surfaces within a quarter-inch of accuracy. This new technology is a boon to preservationists because it provides valuable information without causing risk or damage to fragile, old materials and can be used to measure highly irregular and inaccessawble surfaces.
