[MassHistPres] Paint

The steeple of our Unitarian church in Provincetown was painted about 5
years ago and is already peeling badly. The prep seemed to have been
adequate, and we are thinking the main issue may simply be the steeple's
extreme exposure, especially in winter. The Building Committee is wondering
whether we should consider an alternate approach so it won't have to be
painted every 5-7 years - e.g. stain or some form of ceramic paint. Has
anyone had experience good or bad with these types of products?
