Eric,

Given your location I'd check around to see if there's a house painter
(familiar with lead RRP rules) that also paints boats as there may be a
product that crosses over for your needs...and is legal. If you have access
to the manufacturer information (of the current paint) you might want to
ask if their best product for your application was used and then look at
similar products to see if other manufacturers agree on the type of product
for the application...

I know what your probably thinking, lots of leg work. If you don't get a
strong technical understanding of the product being installed, you decision
won't be the best possible decision.

I looked at www.paint.org and www.pdca.org. The first is a manufacturers
organization the second is an installers organization.
