Hi All:

There's still time to register for the Vernacular Architecture Forum's Annual Meeting, coming up on Saturday, March 28 at Old Sturbridge Village, Sturbridge, MA (see below and attached)!  Registration is open through this week, either by mail or walk-in at the meeting; however, lunch orders much be reserved by the end of today (please email me separately if you would like a lunch reservation and I'll add you to the count).

2:45 - 3:30              2016 Annual Meeting: The National Historic Preservation Act at 50!     Please join us in a brainstorming conversation on the 50th anniversary of the National Historic Preservation Act and its relationship to the study of vernacular architecture.  The goal will be to identify themes for the 2016 VAF-NE Annual Meeting.
2015 VAF National Conference: The 35th VAF National Meeting, Out of the Loop, in Chicago, IL from June 3-7, 2015, will explore Chicago's built environment through the lens of the theme of "Neighborhoods in Transition." Go to http://www.vafchicago.org/ for more information.
VAF-NE Board of Directors (2014-2015): Betsy Cromley, President Pro Tem; Edward Hood, Treasurer; Shantia Anderheggen, Secretary; Directors: Robert Adam, Kate Matison, Christi Mitchell, Arron Sturgis, Zachary Violette and Rita Walsh.
Directions: Old Sturbridge Village is located in the town of Sturbridge, MA, near the intersection of Route 90 (the Massachusetts Turnpike) and Route 84. Take Route 90/Mass Pike to Sturbridge exit 9.  After paying the toll, take the first right (Route 20 west). Follow signs to OSV, making a right onto the jug-handle to get into the Village. There's ample parking in the Village lot.  From the parking lot, follow the sidewalk between the Tavern/Bookstore (on the left) and Visitors Center (on the right) to the Fuller Conference Center (just beyond the Visitors Center, on the right).
