Sally
Have you contacted Longleaf Lumber in Cambridge Ma. They salvage wood from historic buildings and other resources. If they do not have the wood you need, perhaps they can suggest alternate sources.

Subject: [MassHistPres] Historic post and rail fence sources?
Greetings everyone.
In our efforts to create a historic district of sea
Captain's Homes we are seeking resources for wood post and rail fencing . At one
time the main street had such fencing almost the entire length. The top of the
posts were acorn topped , some very thick. If you are interested the historic
fence can be seen in the opening of a Facebook page called captain's row.
I am
having trouble finding such a fence and hope perhaps someone might know of a
resource.
Thank you.
