Holyoke is celebrating Infrastructure Day on Sat. May 14th from 10 to 5
beginning at Heritage State Park and 4 other venues.

The Boston Society of Civil Engineers will be holding its second annual
Infrastructure Day in Holyoke on Saturday, May 14th. BCES and a wide range
of Holyoke organizations and community members are celebrating the
engineering marvels of the city’s unique 1900 dam and the three levels of
canals. These resources, constructed more than a century ago, are
extraordinary and unique to Holyoke and still play a major role in our
city’s infrastructure.

This one­day event will highlight displays and student competitions
centered around the STEM curriculum—science, technology, engineering and
math. A central theme of “Holyoke­ Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” will be
featured throughout the event.
