Hi Sarah,
We used to send welcome letters each month to all those who purchased a property in a district (attached are two versions). The letter is out of date now, and the link to the Commission's webpage in the letter no longer works (this is the current one ... http://www.salem.com/historical-commission ). The practice has fallen by the wayside because it was time consuming getting updated new ownership information from the Assessor's Office and our general workload... although I would love to see it re-implemented, if feasible, now that we have a good GIS system. If I were updating it, I would add information on the ability to subscribe to Commission agendas through our website.
The letter would include a copy of the district brochure (it is very old, but we still have a lot of stock). I can mail you a copy of our brochure, if you would like.

Good afternoon-
Does anyone have an example of any outreach materials that have been distributed to homeowners within a local historic district?
We're thinking of a kind of reminder flyer for a long-established district.
