LEGAL NOTICE

TOWN OF GREAT BARRINGTON

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS



The Great Barrington Historical Commission, acting by and through the Great
Barrington Town Manager, is seeking proposals from qualified historic
preservation consultants to undertake the “Historic Resources Survey
Update.” Proposals must be received at the Office of the Town Manager, Town
Hall, 334 Main St. Great Barrington, Massachusetts 01230, on or before
12:00 noon, Monday, August 15, 2016.



The Request for Proposals (RFP), containing scope of work, proposal
requirements, and evaluation criteria, will be/is available upon request
after 10:00 am, Friday, July 8, 2016. The RFP can be obtained by sending a
written request, preferably by email, to apulver at townofgb.org, or by mail
to Amy Pulver, Planning & DPW Assistant, Town Hall, 334 Main Street, Great
Barrington, MA 01230, or by fax to (413) 528-2290.  RFP requests must
include the person’s name, title, company name, phone number, and email
address.  We will not accept requests or questions by phone.



Proposers must meet the following minimum qualifications: a Bachelor’s
degree in Historic Preservation, Architectural History, History, Art
History, or a closely related field, plus at least two years full time
experience in an area relevant to the project; or a Master’s degree in any
of the above mentioned areas.



The Town of Great Barrington reserves the right to reject any and all bids
or to waive any informalities in the Proposal process, if deemed in the
Town’s best interest. The Town of Great Barrington is an Equal Opportunity
