Dear Preservation Colleagues,
Space is still available for this day long workshop on working with preservation restrictions. Further information is available here http://shop.historicnewengland.org/HH-PRESERVE2-9929/ and on Historic New England's website, http://www.historicnewengland.org/events-programs/events-calendar.
Introduction to Establishing and Administering Preservation Restrictions
Friday, June 10, 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Codman Estate<http://www.historicnewengland.org/historic-properties/homes/codman-estate>, 34 Codman Road, Lincoln, Mass.
Join preservation professionals from Historic New England, the Massachusetts Historical Commission, and others for the second in a series of workshops<http://www.historicnewengland.org/events-programs/events-calendar?calStartDate=06%2F05%2F2016&searchEvents=leading+locally+preservation+management+strategies> on management issues related to local preservation.
This workshop focuses on developing and monitoring preservation restrictions held at the local level. Learn the legal basis of these restrictions or easements, hear case study examples, and find out about issues related to holding and enforcing preservation restrictions. Gain confidence in working with easement-protected historic properties by learning from professional preservation staff.
Designed for members of historical commissions, historical societies, Community Preservation Act committees, and others charged with managing buildings and districts at the local level. Takes place in the carriage barn.

$10 nonmembers
Registration is required. Please call 617-994-5910 or buy online<http://shop.historicnewengland.org/HH-PRESERVE2-9929/>.
