Request For Proposals (RFP)

RFP/Bid # NA-2017-022

The North Adams Historical Commission, acting by and through the City's Office of Community Development, is soliciting proposals from qualified professional historic preservation consultants to undertake the City of North Adams "Historic Properties Survey Update Project." Interested proposers must be able to demonstrate that they meet all requirements as outlined in the project's Scope of Services.  Proposers must also meet the following minimum qualifications: a Bachelor's degree in Historic Preservation, Architectural History, History, Art History, or a closely related field, plus at least two years full-time experience in an area relevant to the project; or a Master's degree in any of the above-mentioned areas.

The RFPs are available, both in hard-copy format and electronically, at the Office of Community Development, Room # 213, City Hall-10 Main Street, North Adams, MA  01247, after 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 16, 2017.


Proposals must be received no later than 11:00 AM on Friday, September 15, 2017, at the same aforementioned municipal office, after which time all proposals shall be taken to the Conference Room 218 of City Hall where all proposals shall be announced as to the respective identification of each proposer.  All proposals will receive consideration without regard to race, creed, color, age, sex, religion or national origin.


This project is being jointly funded through a grant to the City of North Adams through its FY'17 Survey & Planning Grant of the National Park Service through the Massachusetts Historical Commission, and through its FY'2017 Community Development Block Grant program of the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) pursuant to Title I of the Housing & Community Development Act of 1974 through the State Department of Housing & Community Development, with said CDBG funding being contingent upon the award of these grants funds along with the fulfillment of any and all post-award grant requirements as may be needed.
