Hi Sarah, two recent MHC workshops cover ideas on outreach and public relations for both local historical commissions and historic district commissions.  

Historic Preservation:  With or Without a Local Historic District
Historic Preservation:  Public Education and Outreach

Both workshops were recently presented by MHC staff in Worcester in cooperation with the Central Mass Regional Planning Commission.  While they aren't scheduled right now, we are discussing with other partners how they can be delivered in other parts of the state.  

At the workshop, Historic Preservation: Public Education and Outreach last month, there was discussion that included many great ideas from participants.  In addition, Deb Packard from Preservation Worcester presented successful ideas from Worcester.
