Chris, feel free to contact me. I can explain the process of recording the map. As Dennis stated, it is just the map that is recorded. There is no need to file anything related to the deed. Chris.

Subject: [MassHistPres] Registering a new district with the Registry of Deeds?
All,
Does anyone know the exact procedure for amending a deed to show that it is in a 40C Local Historic District?
E.g. do I get a signed document from the City Clerk with his seal showing the exact boundaries of the district on an assessors' map?
