Hello to you all,
    As some  of you may know we have been working to preserve an area of Sea Captains’ homes in  Harwich that we call Captains’Row.  Recently we rallied to have a Dollar General withdraw their plans  for a 7.500 sq ft store that included demolishing one of the historic homes.. They did withdraw without prejudice.
Se we have work to do and are considering a historic village overlay as one means amongst others. We are hoping the Cape Cod Commission hears our request to become a District of Critical Planning Concern  as well.
    In the meantime can anyone share a village overlay district document that has been  put into practice and is working well?
I certainly would appreciate the help.
