I have used D-2 with success.

Prior to spray application, headstones were scrubbed and washed using soft brushes and tap water to remove surface biological growth.
Once dry, they were sprayed with D-2 to finish the job, and left to dry.

D-2 can be sprayed and left on to prevent further biological growth, in most cases I have worked with.
