[MassHistPres] MWT Parsonage - Historic Structures Report RFP

To Whom It May Concern,

We have announced our RFP in our Tribal newsletter in an attempt to secure Bid proposals on a Conditions Assessment and larger Historic Structures Report.

The Parsonage sometimes referred to as the Attaquin House was constructed ca. 1849 in the local Greek Revival-style as a 1.5 story residence. The dimensional area of the structure is roughly 792 sq. ft. (1st floor), 304 sq. ft. (2nd. Floor) for a total of 1,096 sq. ft. of livable space with a root cellar; the structure is built on brick/block 484 sq. ft. foundation comprised of frost walls and crawls spaces on a 2.346 acre lot. The structure is listed on the Massachusetts State Register of Historic Places and has been identified as potentially eligible for National Register listing both individually and as part of the Mashpee Town Center historic district.

The primary goal of the report is to support the planning for the future of the historic structure; the Condition Assessment and  HSR will provide a foundation of documentation and information about the subject building. The THPD will use the HSR as a comprehensive planning tool for the proactive stabilization, restoration/rehabilitation and nomination of the Mashpee Parsonage at 431 Main Street, Mashpee, MA.

Some of the key goals will be:
*          The HSR will document physical information and evidence about the Parsonage
*          Assess and document condition of the Parsonage
*          Substantiate Historical significance
*          Recommend approach to conservation treatment
*          Create a defined scope of work for the restoration
*          Ascertain theoretical future uses of the Parsonage
*          Determine future maintenance schedule for consideration
