A Survey to Help Prepare a Guidebook on the Building Code and Historic Properties
You are invited to help prepare a guidebook explaining how the building code applies to historic properties in Massachusetts. This guidebook, funded by the Massachusetts Historical Commission, is meant to be a user-friendly and informative document that will explain the basics of how the building code applies to historic properties that are being maintained, rehabilitated or restored.
While we anticipate the guidebook being useful to architects, engineers and building officials, the primary audience will be local commission members, local preservationists, owners and property managers, without a background in the building code.
Completing this survey will help the consultant, preparing the guidebook, to cover what is needed. We greatly appreciate your participation.
