Chris,

Your efforts to promote Historical Preservation in the State of Massachusetts have been unparalleled. The workshops you have hosted have not only been educational but have allowed many of us in historic preservation roles to coordinate and collaborate our activities. Let me be one of many to say that you will be missed and I trust MHC will recognize the gap your departure creates and endeavor to fill it.

Good luck in your future opportunities and I trust our paths will cross again.

.....Mike

I am writing to let all of you

know that I have submitted my resignation at the Massachusetts Historical Commission. I don't have a plan yet for my next career chapter. I will be taking the opportunity to do some career exploration, basically whatever looks interesting in preservation,

planning or maybe something else entirely.

It

has been an honor to work with so many of you. I admire your dedication to your communities, protecting the irreplaceable resources in your cities and towns and always thinking about how our historic resources can be part of our future.

I

don't have a final date at MHC yet but anticipate my last active day at MHC will be 2+ weeks from now. So, I will still be around for a while longer if you need to contact me.
