Chris you have helped us get through the choppiest waters here and helped to bring us into a much better place. It is hard to imagine MHC without you. We are so grateful for all that you have done over the many years to keep preservation in the foreground and helping us to plant the seeds for future generations.
Thank you so much!
Kathy Schofield and All the members of the Mendon Historical Commission and the Local Historic District Commission.

Chris
Your wisdom, patience, clarity and perseverance have been much appreciated. There are few people if any who have the overview that you have built over the years of all the preservation efforts across Massachusetts, including knowing which communities are making progress and which initiatives are meeting up against obstacles.
You are welcome to come to Newton any time, would be glad to compare notes.
In "normal" conditions there would be a big send-off party and you would need to give a speech (not a slide presentation though!)

I am writing to let all of you know that I have submitted my resignation at the Massachusetts Historical Commission. I don’t have a plan yet for my next career chapter. I will be taking the opportunity to do some career exploration, basically whatever looks interesting in preservation, planning or maybe something else entirely.
It has been an honor to work with so many of you. I admire your dedication to your communities, protecting the irreplaceable resources in your cities and towns and always thinking about how our historic resources can be part of our future.
I don’t have a final date at MHC yet but anticipate my last active day at MHC will be 2+ weeks from now. So, I will still be around for a while longer if you need to contact me.
