[MassHistPres] Appraising Historic Preservation Easements

Morning,



I’m on the board of a preservation nonprofit that is trying to better
understand preservation easements and restrictive covenants and their
impact on real estate value.  I’m looking to see if anyone has
experience/expertise with appraising preservation easements for IRS tax
purposes and/or if anyone knows of an appraiser that’s effectively done the
work recently.  Would be happy to discuss war stories, methodology,
process, success/failure, and receive recommendations for appraisers in New
England and beyond.
