We just purchased storms from Coastal for my home and they fabricated them in black for us.

They are nowhere near as nicely made, but they do come in around 15 colors which goes a long way to making them attractive for historic homes. The other brand is Coastal storm windows -they are very sturdy but pretty much only come in white.

I’ve had the question from a historic homeowner and they’ve said they plan to replace their windows first—I haven’t replied yet, but I will obviously discourage this!! When I reply, I’d like to offer other suggestions. Storms? (I know there was a thread about storm windows recently and the company that used to make the preferred ones is no longer in business…). Insulation? Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions or recommendations.
