Subject: [MassHistPres] Hello from your new Local Government ProgramsCoordinator!

Hello all,

My name is Jenn Doherty, and I am the new Local Government Programs Coordinator here at MHC. Like Chris Skelly before me, I am here to answer all of your preservation- and regulation-related questions!

My education is in both preservation studies (MA, Boston University, 2012) and regional planning (MRP, UMass-Amherst, 2021), and I’ve worked on all sides of preservation issues – as a consultant focused on survey and National Register work, as a municipal preservation planner, and as a local historical commission member and chair.

Right now I’m in the office but will eventually be remote. You can always call the main MHC number, but this email address (Jennifer.Doherty at sec.state.ma.us) will be the quickest way to reach me. In the fall I plan to restart the workshops that Chris held, so keep an eye on the listserv for notice about those.

I look forward to working with you all!

Jenn
