[MassHistPres] Solar panels in historic districts

Dennis,

Those are Sunslates (manufactured by Atlantis Energy) and we were part of
the group that installed them. The “slates” are individual pieces,
literally 100’s of pieces, that get wired together. The big pro is that the
finished roof looks like a typical roof as there are filler pieces that can
be cut. The con is that this is an expensive roof that generates less
energy than most standard panel roofs, I don’t know what the power output
is. The other considerations were the hip roof and the shade from the
dormer.
