[MassHistPres] HDC advisory boards

Hello,

 

This is a question about local Historic District Commission rules, regulations, and procedures. 

Our local Historic District is large and diverse, covering the entire islands of Nantucket and Tuckernuck. It appoints standing Advisory Boards to review certain categories of applications. These boards advise the HDC – they are not empowered to issue determinations on their own.

 

I am looking for comments on the following questions:
Do any other HDC in the Commonwealth take advice from advisory boards or groups? 
If so, how are these groups constituted? 
Are any considered municipal bodies (subject to Open Meeting Law)?
Are any designated by the local HDC?
