Westport expanded its Westport Point Historic District by 14 properties contiguous with the existing district. It was carried out by a couple of Historical Commission members, including Geraldine Millham and Jane Loos, and myself, an interested citizen. There was no cost because Geraldine was a graphic designer. We interviewed each resident and got their approval (sometimes a little hesitant!) to a petition to be added to the existing historic district. Once all owners approved, town meeting approval was easy.

Has anyone expanded their historic district? Any suggestions for consultant to complete required study? What is typical study cost? Where did funding come from for study? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Regards,Michael TubinChair, Plymouth Historic Distict Commission _______________________________________________
