[MassHistPres] Historic Town Clock Restoration & consultant recommendations

The City of Salem is working with Electric Time Company in Medfield, MA to complete the restoration of the ca. 1910 Almy’s Clock, an original E. Howard Clock Company Post Clock https://www.preservingsalem.com/almysclockrestoration .  The project included restoration of the cast iron case, recreation of the original clock faces, and repairs to clock drive mechanisms. The clock is scheduled to be reinstalled next week.  Electric Time has been great to work with so far and we look forward to seeing the finished clock.  Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

We recently used Restco for restoration of the steeple at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Westborough, MA and they were fabulous.  Everything went smoothly and I highly recommend them. https://www.restco.com/

No idea about the clock restoration but it might be worth a call to Bob Gierschick at the Willard Clock Museum in North Grafton for ideas.
