Subject: [MassHistPres] Weights and Measures scale restoration

 

The Town of Hanover is looking into a restoration of the antique Weights and Measures scale that currently resides in the Town Hall basement. The unit is in relatively good shape, but it needs restoration and some modification in order to make it presentable as a display in one of the town buildings. 

 

Any suggestions on what services could be recommended for restoration work, what modifications made for better display (ie. glass panels in doors, lighting, etc.) and what locations have been used to display these units would be greatly appreciated.
