Lunenburg's unit was given to the Lunenburg Historical Society.  It is 100% complete and in my opinion, pristine condition. We simply removed the doors for display.  See attached.

It would be interesting to know how many towns have these often spectacular examples of 19th C precision engineering technology on display.  Brookline does in a large period glass case and I believe Holliston does too.    Dennis De Witt Brookline

The unit is in relatively good shape, but it needs restoration and some modification in order to make it presentable as a display in one of the town buildings.     Any suggestions on what services could be recommended for restoration work, what modifications made for better display (ie. glass panels in doors, lighting, etc.) and what locations have been used to display these units would be greatly appreciated.    Thank you,    Caleb Estabrooks Vice-Chair Hanover Historical Commission _______________________________________________
