Hi Chris,


Waltham pays for a part time office assistant, who handles the types of administrative tasks you mentioned.  The office assistant also works part time for the Building Maintenance Department and reports to the Planning Department.  The Historical Commission has no administrative oversight of the position.

We have the assistance of the Assessors office for abutters lists, Town Clerk of coarse for posting, and a newly hire webmaster for the town to keep our town webpage up to date with HDC minutes, agendas and up coming meetings.

I am interested to hear from local commissions that receive administrative staff support from their city or town government.  While some commissions have professional preservation planners, for this inquiry, I am interested in hearing from those commissions that receive municipal staff support for posting agendas, attending meetings, preparing the minutes and other related administrative tasks.
