You might want to try Westmill Preservation Services in Halifax, MA - they can be reached at: (781) 293-5479

They were very helpful in repairing a large window that suffered storm damage three years ago at Stetson Hall in Randolph

Subject: [MassHistPres] Looking for a preservation carpenter for two smallish projects

I'd appreciate recommendations for one (or more) sources to work on: - Restoration of two exterior Victorian residential doors.  Home owner;s original plan was to replace with doors from a big box store; I suggested restoring the existing doors, which are basically sound - they need refinishing (existing lead paint to deal with, of course) + hardware refurbishment +  attention to joints  + reinstallation with proper weatherstripping.
- Refurbishment of the Town's weights and measure cabinet so that it can be brought out of storage and displayed In Town Hall.  Cabinet is finished in wood graining; many, if not all of the device's components (scale, weights, etc.) are still in place.
I'd appreciate recommendations for someone who could take on these projects.   Thanks
