To follow up on my earlier inquiry, the Town of Concord is considering using stamped pavement simulating cobblestone as a streetcalming measure in a busy intersection in its downtown Historic District. Both the HDC and the Town recognize the aesthetic challenges in employing modern materials to simulate historic paving material and are proceeding with caution.
What is your experience with the use of stamped pavement, especially in a Historic District? If you are pleased with the results, would you be willing to share additional information on contractors and bid documents? Please let us know if you had a negative experience too!
Many thanks,
Sincerely,
Ann
