[MassHistPres] rooftop solar panels

Hello
In Weston, solar panels are considered to be temporary and removable alterations, not permanent. Preference is of course given to installations that don't show from the public way, but neither siting type has been denied. And if solar can extend the longevity of our historic buildings, the installations should be encouraged.

Hi Alisa,

The Newbury Historical Commission is looking for the same information. We are also looking to create a standard type of response for solar on historic homes in general.

I can't wait to see what others are doing!

Thanks,

Janice Forrest

I'm looking to get a sense of how other towns are ruling on roof top solar panels in Historic Districts.
Thank you in advance for input
