[MassHistPres] Town employed preservationist?

Hello all,
     My town Harwich has a poor history regarding Historic preservation even with historic inventories. . Our biggest loss was the Exchange building, should never have happened. But most in town administration and some in the community do not yet see the value of “preservation, even in rehab and reuse.
  What can you share about your town? Do you have a professional paid preservationist on staff. Anyone paid with CPA funds. I want to see if we can get Harwich to consider employing  a preservationist or perhaps  sharing with  other towns ?
