[MassHistPres] Town of Amherst - regulating parking in a local historic district?

All,

The Town's Historic District Commission is interested in regulating parking in the two local historic districts.  The reason is that we have such a strong demand for housing from the off-campus college students that a 'typical' residential property also accommodates more vehicles than expected.

Are there examples from other Local Historic Districts were parking is subject to review?  Thanks so much.
