The Town of Brookline’s Department of Planning & Economic Development is currently hiring a full time, salaried Preservation Planner to join our department. The primary responsibilities of the role include evaluating applications for alterations to properties in local historic districts, administering the town’s demolition delay bylaw, and consulting on projects for town owned properties. Our ideal candidate has a master’s degree in historic preservation or a related field, some professional experience in historic preservation, and an understanding of the role of historic preservation at the local level.
