[MassHistPres] Renaming your historical society

It may be beside the point of your query, but in Winchester, the average person on the street is forever mixing up the Winchester Historical Commission with the Winchester Historical Society. Some actually think it’s the same thing — which it is not. 

If the society wanted to change its name, I wouldn’t stand in their way. But they’re not about to do that. The WHS has a long and proud history of its own and there is no reason to change its name. As chair of the Historical Commission, I’ll just have to bear the burden of being referred to occasionally as the chair of the Historical Society.
