Hi Michael,
Salem revised its demo delay several years ago and created a FAQ sheet that included information comparing Salem’s delay period with other similar communities – see attached. The revisions, which included extending the delay period to 12 months for buildings 50-99 years and 18 months for buildings older than 100 years, were unanimously approved by the City Council.

Pardon a question I could probably answer with enough research, but our Town Meeting will be taking up the length of our demolition delay.
