REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS (RFQ)
Town of Sturbridge Historic Properties Survey
The Town of Sturbridge Historical Commission, by and through the Historical Commission, is seeking quotes from qualified historic preservation consultants to undertake the “Sturbridge Community-Wide Historic Properties Survey – Phase 3.” Proposals must be received at the Office of the Board of Selectmen, c/o Michelle Garman, Sturbridge Town Hall, 308 Main Street, Sturbridge, Massachusetts, on or before 1:00 pm, Monday, September 16, 2024.
The purpose of this solicitation is the selection of a qualified historic preservation consultant to provide professional research and documentation services to complete a historic properties survey meeting current Massachusetts Historical Commission survey standards.
The Request for Quotes, containing scope of work, proposal requirements, and evaluation criteria, may be viewed and printed from Open Bids | sturbridgema<https://www.sturbridge.gov/bids> once you register with the site.
Proposers must meet the following minimum qualifications: a Bachelor’s degree in Historic Preservation, Architectural History, History, Art History, or a closely related field, plus at least two years full‑time experience in an area relevant to the project; or a Master’s degree in Historic Preservation, Architectural History, History, Art History or a closely related field.
Questions regarding the RFP must be written and either e-mailed to Mgarman at sturbridge.gov<mailto:Mgarman at sturbridge.gov> by September 5, 2024 at 10:00 am if emailed, must be marked in the subject line “Request for Quotations - Historic Properties Survey.” Written responses, if any, will be in the form of addenda to this RFQ and will be posted on the Town website and emailed to all companies and individuals on record as having requested the RFQ.
If any changes are made to this RFQ, an addendum will be issued. Addenda will be mailed or faxed to all vendors on record as having requested the RFQ. Each responder shall acknowledge receipt of any and all addendum issues by submitting acknowledgment forms provided with any Addenda.
