Hello,
The Newton Upper Falls Historic District Commission approved a successful steeple restoration project for an 1827 church at 15-21 Summer St. Southgate Steeplejacks (Barre VT) were able to replicate details and elements that couldn’t be restored, as well as making the structure and installation more water proof. If the cupola can’t be restored, then replication should absolutely be possible. I am curious – why does the existing cupola need to be demolished? Seems like a very important architectural element!
