[MassHistPres] Seeking Input: Municipal Responses to Tercentenary Markers

The Webster Historical Commission spearheaded an effort to move the sign
from its original position to the Municipal Beach on Webster Lake.
The sign was originally placed in the wrong spot (and noted in Macris). The
WHC requested and received permission from the DOT to have the sign
restored and moved.
A local company volunteered to restore the sign and did a great job. The
Highway Department took care of moving and installation. We hired a
mason to lay pavers.
It is now in a prominent place, as "an artifact in its own right"
