Sagamore Vale Area – Medford Square Neighborhood
Historic Properties Survey
The City of Medford (City) HistoricalCommission seeks proposals from qualified historic preservation consultants toundertake an intensive-level, neighborhood survey of cultural and architecturalresources in the Sagamore Vale Area of the Medford Square neighborhood of theCity of Medford.
Requests for Proposals will be availablebeginning Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at no cost by emailing historicalcommission at medford-ma.gov. Proposals will be sent electronically via a PDF file. You must email the above address to receive the documentation. You will be asked to provide your contact information to receive anyaddendums.
Proposers must meet the following minimumqualifications: a Bachelor’s degree in Historic Preservation, ArchitecturalHistory, History, Art History, or a closely related field, plus at least twoyears of full-time experience in an area relevant to the project; or aMaster’s degree in any of the above-mentioned areas.
Allproposals shall be submitted via email to historicalcommission at medford-ma.gov prior to November 13, 2024 at 2:00 PM. Hardcopy proposals shall not be accepted by the awarding authority.
Questionsregarding the proposal can be submitted in writing via email to Ryan D.Hayward, Vice-Chair of the Medford Historical Commission, until 2:00PM onWednesday, October 30, 2024. Failure to understand the RFQ shall notrelieve the bidder from their obligation.
The City reserves the right to reject allproposals, in whole or in part, as determined to be in the best interests ofthe City and to waive minor informalities.
