[MassHistPres] Internship with MHC National Register staff

The Massachusetts Historical Commission (MHC), the State Historic Preservation Office, is seeking a paid intern to work with National Register staff in the Preservation Planning Division. Primary responsibilities will include developing datasheets for early National Register districts and researching and documenting properties individually listed in the National Register that have been demolished, relocated, or heavily altered since listing. The intern will also participate in the National Register evaluation group and may undertake other projects as assigned by the Director of the National Register Program.

Qualified candidates will have or be working toward an MA/MS in Historic Preservation or a closely related field, or have a BA in preservation or closely related field. Candidates must be well organized, have adept computer skills, and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is preferred.
