Hour Exam 2 Coverage
Hour Exam 2 is Thursday Dec 2.
Hour Exam 2 will cover all the sections we have covered since Hour Exam 1. I suggest knowing definitions and statements of theorems, and being able to do problems. Specifically, make sure you know the basics of everything, definitions, statements of theorems (especially ones with names), and be able to do problems. You might be asked to prove an easy theorem, not any tricky ones. You'll probably have some choice (able to skip one problem).
Chapter 7. Discrete probability: 7.3, 7.4 (not much here, in fact)
Chapter 8, Advanced Counting Techniques: 8.1 - 8.3 (you should know it, but not much on this exam)
Chapter 9, Relations: all
Chapter 10, Graphs: 10.1 - 10.7. Skip Dirac's Th. and Ore's Th.
Chapter 11, Trees: all
Chapter 12, Boolean Algebra: 12.1 - 12.2
