Tutoring in math and cs will commence this coming Tuesday, Feb. 10th.
Appointments for tutoring will start Feb. 9th.

The hours during which the Math Resource Center will
offer tutoring are:

    MTWT 9:30 - 12:30 and 1:00 - 2:30
    F 9:30 - 12:30 only.

The courses that we offer tutoring in are:

    MA Q114 MA 115 125 129 130 140 and 141
    CS 105 110 and 210

Each student in need of tutoring must be registered for one of these
courses and must come to the math resource center to make an
appointment. We require that the student present his/her student ID
the first time so that we can have that student properly checked out
and recorded.

Appointments can also be made over the telephone. Our number is
617-287-6486 But a student who calls must still present his/her ID for
verification when he/she comes for the first appointment.

The location of the math resource center is in the back of the
language lab, which in turn is located on the 3rd floor of the science
building, down the corridor to the left across from the elevators. It
is entered through a doorway down that corridor on the left. Look for
signs saying Language Lab, Math lab and the like.

Each student who is eligible for tutoring is allowed to have up to two
half-hour, one-on-one, sessions with a tutor per week. Special
accommodations can be made for more time but only through negotiations
with the Disabled Student Center.

A more detailed schedule, giving courses, tutors for those courses,
and times at which each tutor is available, will be coming out in a
few days.

There is also a Math Table, run this semester by Dan Donahue, on
Mondays from 3:00 to 5:00. It invites discussion in MA 240, 260, 310,
360 and CS 320. These sessions take place in the math resource center
as well.
